My favorite parts of the newborn phase

There's no doubt that the newborn phase is one of the hardest phases, but looking back, and starting over again soon, here's a list of all my favorite parts:

1. Overnight feedings - sure some days are harder than others but I love the feeling when it's just us two together, the world seems very still. Not worrying about visitors, loud noises, chores, etc. I can just hold my little bean in the quiet of the night and truly enjoy the stillness and bliss.

2. The clothes - because why are they so small and adorable!!

3. All the incoordination - how cute is it when they are looking desparately for the breast/bottle!?

4. All the naps - it's easy at this age to step out for a walk or coffee while they're sleeping! Or holding them while they're napping and sitting outside getting some sunlight.

5. Watching them notice the world - have you ever noticed how wide-eyed they are while looking around, taking everything in? It's beautiful and emotional to watch

6. Funny faces - why do newborns make they funniest faces?! I'm obsessed

Noticing the beauty in the most difficult phases helps me through it!
